Overview
This surgical procedure is designed to rejuvenate the lower part of the face targeting the jawline, jowls, and upper neck to address signs of ageing such as sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and loss of muscle tone around the cheeks, and jowls
Procedure
Under local anaesthetic, the surgeon makes incisions typically around the ears, sometimes extending into the hairline. Excess skin is removed, and the underlying tissues are tightened to create a smoother, more youthful appearance.
Results
This procedure improves the definition of the jawline and reduces the appearance of sagging skin and jowls.
Deep wrinkles and folds, especially around the mouth and chin are smoothed away.
Your Surgeon
Mr Jason Niamat is a specialist Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon on the General Medical Council's specialist register and has worked as a consultant at Lincoln County Hospital since 2011. He is involved with multidisciplinary teams responsible for treating facial skin cancer and facial deformity. His work includes skin lesions, facial plastic surgery, corrective facial deformity surgery, facial trauma and surgical conditions of the oral cavity.
Mr Niamat has both Medical and Dental degrees which he completed at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad in 1994 and 1998. He moved to the UK in 2002 where he completed his basic and higher surgical training in the Trent region and is now a regional specialist for both the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire areas
